NRCCI Project Board
The NRCCI Project Board supports the Minister for Children and Early Years commitment to making residential care the first and best placement of choice for those children whose needs it serves.
The Project Board will advise on, monitor and review the process and progress of the Initiative and overview the final report put forward to Government Ministers.
Key Tasks will include:
- Providing a strategic overview of child care policy and practice which has or could impact on current and future residential child care provision in Scotland
- Identifying where and how solutions can be found and implemented within the sector which will have a positive impact on children in residential care now and/or in the future
- Advising on different and appropriate communication strategies, messages and tools
- Considering how the work of the Initiative is taken forward and its recommendations are implemented, reviewed, and monitored
- Ensuring that the Initiative is conducted and managed in an open and transparent manner
