Core Skills Course

Course Aim:
This five-day course has been designed to support workers who do not have entry-level qualifications for HNC and who have been assessed as having learner support needs in order to progress to HNC. Some workers have also found the course very useful as preparation for SVQ and, at a higher level, for management awards.
Course Objectives:
Entry requirements: Candidates are required to complete an appraisal which has two components:-
An assessment of punctuation, spelling, syntax and listening skills on a computer-based and paper-based diagnostic tool.
A written piece of work that examines understanding, analysis and evaluation.
Target Group:
