Course Aim:
To examine the physical and psychological aspects of the development of sexual identity in children and young people and look at how workers respond to this process
Course Objectives:
Have increased awareness of the impact of their own attitudes and experiences
Understand the process of sexual development and models to explain this process
Have increased awareness of the impact of gender and diverse sexuality
Have knowledge of HIV/AIDS and safer sexual practices
SVQ Underpinning Knowledge:
This course may provide evidence for unit HSC 34
Target Group:
This course will be useful for all staff from basic grade practitioners through to Unit Managers
