Safe Caring for Children and Young People

Course Aim: 
To help workers develop safer residential childcare practice
Course Objectives: 
Examine issues relating to child protection which include listing the typical signs of abuse and the way abusers generally function
Outline the key points and comment on the relevance of current government reports and research on the topic of safe caring
Demonstrate an understanding of what is involved in creating a safer caring environment for children and young people

This course may provide evidence for unit HSC 34
Higher National Certificate: 
This course provides an introduction to concepts explored in the units Understanding and Supporting Behaviour, Psychology for Social Care Practice and Protection of Individuals from Abuse.
