Leadership in Residential Child Care
Course Aim:
To allow participants to develop their skills as leaders
Course Objectives:
Have a basic knowledge of management theory as it applies to residential child care
Be able to identify and develop ideas for achieving appropriate aims and objectives
Understand the importance of their own leadership role
SVQ Underpinning Knowledge:
This course may provide evidence for units at SVQ level four
Diploma in Care Service Management:
This course provides an introduction into concepts explored within the Diploma.
Target Group:
This course will be useful for senior practitioners and Unit Managers or experienced basic grade practitioners wanting to move into management roles
Course Length:
2 days plus a follow up day 6 weeks later
