Course Aim:
To introduce staff to a broad range of ideas and concepts essential to good residential practice
Course Objectives:
Have an understanding of the needs of children in residential care
Demonstrate an understanding of safe working practices
Communicate more effectively with children and colleagues
Be able to challenge and report poor practices or misconduct
Target Group:
Inexperienced staff or those new to residential child care
Course Length:
Introduction to Residential Child Care is a 6-day course
