Group Work In Residential Care

Course Aim: 
To enable participants to assess the value and potential of structured group work with children and young people
Course Objectives: 
Have been introduced to the 'pros' and 'cons' of group work
Be able to experience the importance of process within group functioning
Be able to produce and present a plan for structured group work
Be aware of underlying processes including conflict management
SVQ Underpinning Knowledge: 
This course will provide evidence for the underpinning knowledge for unit SC8
Higher National Certificate: 
This course provides an introduction to concepts explored in the unit Social Care Theory for Practice.
Target Group: 
This course will be relevant for basic grade practitioners
