To enable participants to understand the development, context and application of children's rights
Course Objectives: 
Appreciate the historical development of children's rights
Place children's rights into a context of personal values, rights and power
Understand the need for an explicit statement of children's rights
Explore skills needed to promote children's rights in a proactive way
Understand the legislative background to children's rights
