Course Aim:
To ensure that participants understand challenging behaviour and explore some methods of working with this aspect of practice

Define what challenging behaviour means for the worker and the young person
Outline the impact of challenging behaviour on the young person, the worker and the workplace
Explore models and methods of dealing with challenging behaviour
Develop strategies to cope with challenging behaviour

This course provides an introduction to concepts explored in the option unit Understanding and Supporting Behaviour.
