Football as a Therapeutic Vehicle in Residential Child Care

Activities can be part and parcel of residential life, and can have a powerful impact on children and young people. This project is exploring how the particular activities involved in a school football team might contribute to a pro-social, developmentally enhancing experience for boys in a residential school. It aims to further develop our understanding of how our related practice can enhance, diminish, or even counter the therapeutic and compensatory potential of a football programme.
