Evaluating the Use of Self-Evaluating Indicators for Care Settings and Schools in Improving the Educational Outcomes of Looked After Children and Young People - A Pilot Study in Glasgow

This case study aims to evaluate a pilot interdisciplinary training on the educational needs of looked after children and young people and the use of self-evaluation indicators in one learning community (i.e. local cluster of secondary school and associated primary schools and nursery schools/centres) in Glasgow. It will describe, from the perspectives of carers and teachers, the experience of using self-evaluation indicators to improve practice in relation to the education of looked after children and young people. It will examine the extent to which the use of the indicators is related to improved outcomes for looked after children and young people in the study population.
