Evaluation of City of Edinburgh Residential Child Care Recruitment and Development Centre

This study will evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the City of Edinburgh Residential Child Care Recruitment and Development Centre that has been used to recruit staff to residential child care since 1999. The study explores the views of unit managers and key senior managers involved in the recruitment process as well as drawing on the experience of workers recruited via this system. This information will be placed in the context of statistical trends and patterns of employment evident in residential child care in Edinburgh since the centre was introduced.
