Course Aim:
To enable participants to understand the issues in working with young people who have autistic spectrum disorder
Course Objectives:
Have basic understanding of autistic spectrum disorder
Begin to view the world from an autistic perspective
Examine strategies to create an autism-friendly environment
SVQ Underpinning Knowledge:
The course may provide evidence for unit HSC 31
Target Group:
This course will be useful for all residential child care staff who work with young people with autistic spectrum disorder
