Plans for a new £50 million BIG Lottery Fund initiative to support young Scots leaving care and older people with dementia and their carers can transform many thousands of lives across Scotland, First Minister Alex Salmond said today.
ALEX Salmond today unveiled a £50m initiative from the Big Lottery Fund to support young people leaving care, older Scots with dementia and their carers.
A boom in lottery players has led to good causes in Scotland receiving an extra £50 million to be spent on helping children raised in care and supporting people who look after dementia sufferers.
