SIRCC Core Skills Appraisal Project
The Core Skills Appraisal Project (CSAP) supports residential child care staff throughout Scotland who are considering undertaking the HNC Social Care but who do not have the necessary qualifications.
All applicants undertake a computer based diagnostic appraisal which lasts about 1.5–2 hours. Feedback is given on any learner support needs and the Core Skills Communication Course is then provided to all eligible students. Further learning support is offered to any workers unsuccessful after the course.
