Education & Training
SIRCC believes that education and training have a crucial role in improving the residential services provided for children and young people. We offer a full career pathway for the residential child care workforce delivering pre-qualifying, qualifying and post-registration training.
Pre-Qualifying Training and Learning
Providing training and learning opportunities which support residential child care workers to achieve basic levels of literacy and knowledge.
Qualifying Education
Providing training and learning opportunities which meet the SSSC registration criteria for residential child care and are recognised as formal qualifications or contributing towards a formal qualification.
Post-Registration Training and Learning
Providing training which meets the SSSCÂ Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL)Â requirements for the residential child care workforce, including specialist training courses.
